TM2 to oil pressure light
Hi all, just after some guidance.
I have installed a Engine Watchdog TM2 in my 2004 Disco 2 TD5 and now i would like to set it up to alarm when the oil pressure warning light illuminates.
Has anyone done this?
Can some one enlighten me as to the location and identification of the oil pressure light wires?
Do i have to pull my dash apart to get to them?
Can i hook it up in the engine bay closer to the pressure sensor itself?
Thanks for any help
Matt

Easiest way to do this is to grab the Rave CD, and study the wiring diagrams therein. I found on my Disco 2 V8 that the oil pressure sender wire ran through the harness in the engine bay just in front of the driver - so it was easy to pick it up there.

Thanks guys, that clarifies that it has to be connected at the sender end in the engine bay.
Two more questions.....
Did you just connect it in parrallell with the sender?
Does polarity matter?
Cheers

in the 300TDI there is only 1 wire in the harness to the sender coupled with 1 wire out of the TM2 equals a no brainer.
i scotch-locked it, thats one of those clips that crimp together
