Fine - generally if it can resist petrol it can resist oil too. Although when you go to buy it try asking for ps supply hose as it exists and is about the same price (At least in Aus) as 5/8 fuel line.
Simple query,
- Can I use a length of FUEL-rated hose to replace the power-steering supply hose ? ( Reservoir to the PS pump inlet.)
Its a 5/8" ID, fancy bent piece, around 50cm (sorry, 20 inches) and I was wondering if a length of fuel hose would be a suitable replacement for the time being.
I don't think heater hose would be a safe (though cheeep!) option. Or would it...
In the midst of replacing lower rad. hose, re-building corroded water-pump inlet spigot...and looking (too) closely at every other bit of flexible rubber....
Thanks!

I'd guess its the same... maybe always was Metric, seeing as the ZF reservoir is German....
I just measure the spigot with my vernier on Imperial... came out at 5/8" which is near enough (15.875) to 16mm
Differance is around half to one turn on the clamp.
Degrease the hoses, and see which and where the oil weeps are...
Was only thinking of FUEL hose 'cos its cheap&easy to buy from S/scrap. If I go into a 'real' hose place, I'll be pricing out the other leaky PS hose... - rubber/metal join on the s/Box to reservoir line.
I've forgotten whether the replacement was measured in imperial or metric, however when I visited Pirtek ( & forgive me for thinking you resided in Gosnells UK, not WA) there was a automotive tubing stand. You should find it there - and I'm reasonably sure supercrp don't go up to 5/8 in fuel hose - so you may have to go Pirtek anyway. And yes, I also replaced the the flexible section of return line to the reservoir.
