The location of MY03 defender wiper motor ECU

    HI

Could somebody tell me where to find the wiper motor ECU, and what it looks like, on MY03 defender.
I have been looking for it, all I find are relays.

    Hope you can help

    I don't think there's an actual ECU.

There's a delay relay but anything else is news to me. I can double check tomorrow if no one else helps in the meantime.

yes there is only a delay ECU, it is located behind the dash binnacle, and clearly marked 'wiper delay unit'.

What is the problem with your wipers?

    Hi Justinc & Scouse

The wipers would only work on high and low speed, but would not park. They stop where ever they are turned off. Also no Intermittent wiper operation. I have replaced the park switch, still no different, also removed the motor and checked its operation. Greased the entire drive, when replacing the park switch.

The unit is called Windscreen wiper delay ECU ( C0303 ) on the electrical drawing.

    Regards
    Mike

    Hi All

I found the Windscreen wiper delay ECU in the area Justinc said to look. Thanks Justin. I replaced the ECU, now the wipers park and work intermittent. But have binded twice, ( windscreen wet ) and needed the wiper blade manually moved slightly to get going again they seam to have a tight spot.
After removing and greasing the drive shaft, is there any special way that the drive shalf should be installed ( I just carefully screwed out and back in, trying not to move the wiper pivot points. )

    Thanks again
    Mike
