do these things have a limp mode?
Limp mode? Yes they do.
Last time mine got stuck in limp mode was also after leaving LR dealer. The dodo servicing it had unplugged the throttle position sensor and did not push it fully back home when reseating the plug.
that would have been too easy---
it runs on all 8,, just no power,,
this ones needed a blue pill since birth i reckon---
my green one went much better,,
on 91!
would a nanocom show up a limp mode fault?
Have you had the compression tested, or checked the valve clearences or seating.
Blocked CAT?
Have you changed your O2 sensors/MAF just to check, just because LR say they are fine, doesn't mean they are.
Baz.
Pedro I did have a similar prob a while back, car would start after tdc, weak, got worse over 2 week until it would not start.
We changed leads , coil packs, maf, computer, crank sensor, cam sensor, everything sensor, battery, alt, fuel pump, fuel lines, checked fuse box..............fuse box twice, checked it when everything was powered up and thats where the prob was put new fuse box in and vrooom.$630 later.
I hope yours has an easier out come
Mark
Thanks Baz,,
The starting problem just started one day,, hasnt got any better or worse, but will still always start.
'tis a huge coincidence that the first time its been on a LR computer it comes home with another problem.
electricity would affect things pretty randomly, as you found Mark,, low volts should show up as M&S lights.
even at full throttle there is no cloud of black smoke and no missing, so I'm inclined to think all should be ok on the electrical side.
Fuel pressure is ok, so can only be the amount of fuel being issued???
nor sure if this means anything,,
but just had a bit of a play in low range, and engine revved fine, no hesitation in cars performance, seemed much livelier.
as it should I suppose:angel:
