Thread: Brake Question

I noticed today when holding my foot firm on the pedal after a bit the pedal heads down, does not go all the way to the floor, but it is obvious something is amiss. There are no fluid leaks, not even a spot. The brake fluid has not dropped at all.
Have done the power bleed with the Nanocom. next break will crack the nipples and check for air.
Is it likely the vaccum booster is failing? Is there any way to test? If it is are they easy to change out?

Also the last few weeks have been getting this message on the Nanocom:
Fault 17-07 Shuttle Valve Switch Failure (Intermittent).
Any advice appreciated.
Never ends with this thing.

Odd, all good again now. Pedal back to feeling normal. Will keep an eye on it.
As for the 3 amigos, it has been doing that on and off so maybe some work on the ABS unit may be required. From what I understand there is no kit for the Defender unit. If not big $ for a Wabco Unit, but will pull apart first and try and overhaul.
