    missing parts of carby

    hi all, well my ski boat with the 186 in it had twin down draft stromys, single barrel

    i had a problem with the front carb on the weekend was getting no fuel, mid river brake down, found no fuel was geting into the flote/bowl,

    so took off the feed line and went to clean it and oh bugger, droped the little ball?? that the flote closes,

    were would i be able to get one with out buyn a hole new carby

    Find a wrecker and buy a whole OLD carby! Couldn't be worth much, surely?
    It's possible that this bit might come in a needle-and-seat kit, not sure. Long time since I pulled apart one of those carbies.

    POD is right, Its a needle and seat that you need.. its not a ball but a small square brass rod with a rounded end (the needle) that touches the float....

    I have twin carb 186 on my old holden and have just rebuilt the carbies.
    You can have my old needle and seat which is in good nick if you can't get a new one.. (should be pretty easy to get a new ones though)
