    r380 cooler lines

hi guys recently got stock cooler lines for my r380 (just the looped pipe)

where do these actually run... they seem to be too short only coming to the diff (not sure what there off, def. something r380'd though )

it seems like the wrap around the bottom of the box over to the drivers side then goes straight up towards the front. but doesn't reach...

is there alot of pressure in the lines
ie. how do you connect a cooler
can i just use hose clamps and rubber hose or do i need it flared/nut etc.

    cheers

    What Vehicle, if a D1
do you have the part numbers of the pipes you bought?
The R380 coolers hoses go to the transmission cooler behind the grill, the engine oil cooler hoses come from the oil pump assembly and feed into the side of the radiator.

Hi The stock oil cooler pipe for the R380 is just that a loop of steel pipe, don't know how effective this is but we only supply an oil cooler system . There is not a great pressure in these line but I would always flair the tube before fitting a hose clip, an easy fix is to fit a hydraulic barrel olive, put the nut on the pipe, fit the olive, use a spare fitting to crimp the olive on the pipe, push the hose over the olive and crimp in place, now run the nut over the end of the hose to tidy the job. Hope this helps. Ian Ashcroft

No such number for land rover parts, it must be the sellers own number or some aftermarket number.

    10 is ESR2808
    11 is ESR2809

hmmm doesn't look like that diagram.just a single pipe thats looped over.

I think I've figured out the one i've got is for a diesel.. as the line cross over to the drivers side (thinking the exhaust manifold is on the passenger side??)

I think im going to just use 'cut to length'' hoses. I have a davies craig oil cooler to fit up also.

I mounted up the lines now. but a little concerned about the proximity to the front shaft.

at the moment the line sit right in the scalloped section of the bell housing (which i suspect is there for clearance with the drive shaft, but not 100% sure.

If I run the line here will they be right?

I could possibly use the fence again to bend them a bit more but don't like doing that

The problem is they are fitted to the wrong side of engine, they need to come along the passenger side, and then in front of the radiator they cross to the drivers side.
Here are pis how mine were on a disco1 with an R380.
