    What vehicle?

Personally, I like to keep from introducing different metals to a cooling system.

So in the case of Alloy Engines I'd go alloy every time.

We sell ally ones now as that's what the main suppliers have switched over to. When Britpart introduced their 2 year warranty they changed from copper to ally, so they must have more faith in them.

If you want a quote then let me know. Discounts available for AULRO members.

I'm pretty sure I read on here that the end tanks tend to separate.Especially when the car is being used a bit off road. You have to think that if your original radiator has lasted over 15 years that the original ones are quite good.

That being said I don't know if it's the rad but the fan is ok a d I put a new thermostat in it on Monday and it still gets hot when I turn on the ac or am going up hills but it's ok when I am driving 80ks each way to work cause it's all flat so I bought a tm2 since I don't trust the gauge and I'm going to fit it tonight and see how it goes

Maybe your water pump is cactus.I made sure I put a VDO temp gauge in mine as well. One of the best things you can do for a Rover V8.I don't trust those water temp gauges either in the disco.

If your radiator is not leaking and you can see through the fins and it cools down when your moving then most likely you should be looking at a possible air lock, Water pump or thermostat before replacing the radiator.

$600 is a lot of dosh to fork out on a hunch.

If you have just done the thermostat then it is very possible that you might have an air lock.

If it's only when the aircon is on then it is also possible that you might have an aircon problem which is loading up the engine more than it should.
