regarding the pictures I posted, for some reason they do not show up but if you click on them they do. Not sure what I did wrong when I wrote the post.

Update on the leak. I've 99.9% fixed it , new door seal plus liberal amounts of silicon sealant squirted into a very small gap in the top left of the door frame (viewed from the out side) where frame meets the rain gutter. I then put the "dumdum" back and the door seal.

In summary:
drilled out rivet that was loose and replaced,
refitted bolt with thread lock above passenger door.
plugged very small gap in door frame with sealant.
