    Bismarck under the bonnet

Running the engine after an oil change....

I was admiring what looked like a cat's marking on the garage wall, when I noticed that the target lined up with the raised sections on the power steering reservoir...

Guilt was proved by the shot-fall being oily, and lacking the usual feline perfume...

Anyone else had a power steering system forget that Germany lost the war ?

My guess is that the filter is blocked so replace the reservoir . They are only about 60 bucks. Mine has never done this anyway.
Geez you bought a pearler didn't you.

Yes, I did. All comments regarding my sanity will be uncontested.

Drop-in whitish plastic filter ? Thats OK.

Blew through the inlet/outlet when I recently changed feed/return hoses. Unless of course, ZF in their perfidy have got another filter buried deep inside the reservoir that passes air, but not oil.... And before you mention it, the HP hoses are weeping at the crimp fittings...

There is no doubt that the Almighty is teaching me Patience... !

My sense of humour is still intact !
