    Service Costs

Now I LOVE my D3 and find it an awesome car on and off road. Tows the 1 tonne camper like its not there and fits all the family and pets in. Find the brakes rubbish (but that's for another thread!!!!!) and the total cost of ownership is too high.

My last service was at 28,000km (not sure if type A or and cost me close to $900 .

In Adelaide there is one official dealer who pretty much has a monopoly on servicing. They have fantastic new service facilities but appear to charge any figure they like to pay for it!!

What do people in the other states pay for servicing? Is Adelaide on the money or not?

Adelaide owners, are there any other good places to get a D3 serviced? Do I have to use a LR dealer to maintain the warranty (resale value is another issue)?

Your brakes are rubbish??? Please elaborate... I find them brilliant.. Even with 2300kg of boat on the back (and finding out its brakes weren't working!)

    Back on topic...

It is a vehicle full of technology... It requires upkeep.

Purchasing a vehicle is the cheap bit... Its keeping them going that costs... Always been that way since the Model T Ford.

You have a vehicle full of "Hi-Tec" with long service intervals...

Toyota Hilux have about as much technology as a Sundial and have a 10,000km and cost $450.00 to service.

Asking $900.00 for your complex machine to be serviced is not particularly rude.
