Disco II spring lift?
G'day All,
wondering whether the rear air suspension will keep the vehicle level (at a greater height) if I fit +2" (50mm) springs & shocks on the front.
The reason I'm looking at this is I have only about 50mm front spring travel before I hit the bump stops. Maybe the springs have sagged, but I'd like to go +2 rather than just back to standard.
Cheers,
Alex

Hi Alex,
Welcome to AULRO.
I have recently lifted my Disco 2 V8 2inches at the front. To get the rear level I have made a flat bar with holes 50mm apart. This flat bar is then inserted on the level detector arm to give a 'false reading' to the controller. This raises the rear suspension 50mm. However this does come with a few things to check. You will need to make sure the brake pipes/flexy's are long enough for full travel. I find that the ride is harder.
You can buy from several sources a rear kit to do this.
A search on the site will find you lots of information on this and lots more for your Discovery. I suggest reading posts and/or searching the sections.... Discovery 2.
A good oil.
Chilly
