    Servicing in Perth/Trucking it to Perth

    Hi all,

    I live in Pilbara and need some work (I hope minor!!) done on my Disco II V8 auto.

    I am looking at sending it down to Perth to have the work done and then drive it back.

    Two things - has anyone got suggestions for the best car haulways to take it from Pilbara to Perth?

    And second, who are among the best recognised general Land Rover/Discovery mechanics in Perth?

    I don't doubt that there are some good guys in Perth but I know there are some Shonks.
    I have found Whyatts in Geraldton to be very good.
    This may not help you much but there is a guy called Pete on 0427647255 he runs Karratha Car Carrying and his rates from Karratha to Geraldton were reasonable.

    Most of the car carriers such as Patricks, TNT etc should be able to give you a good rate as it will pretty much be a back load as most often they go back empty anyway.
    Aside from that does it have to go to Perth. The V8s are fairly easy to work on, what do you need repaired?

    Considering that they are part of the RAC arm ... I'd suggest that they could advise on who to contact for cartage .....
