Koni top shock bush and washers

    Koni

I’ve just fitted Koni Raids to the rear of my TD5 110. The inside washers Koni provide with the shocks will not go over the top pin down to the shock mount.

The standard LR inner washer (top mount) is about 5mm thick and curved. Flat on the mount and slight curve on the bush side.

The standard shock has a metal “spacer” through the bush. I assume the metal washes torque down on. Note the standard washers have no lip.

The Koni shock top mount I don’t believe have the metal spacer through the bush and the washers, inner and outer, are lipped. Also the inner washer would only be 2 mm thick.

I’ve left the inner (5mm curved to bush) original washer on. However I’m thinking of making up a 5mm “flat” inner washer (flat both sides) with a lip same as the Koni.

Has any one had fitted the Koni’s and what did you do. Or just your thoughts.

I just reused the LR ones and haven't had any issues.
