Dim tail lights/brake lights on 89 RRC

Does anyone know the layout and location of all the connecting plugs and earth points for the wiring to the tail lights/brake lights?
I've struggled to find where the resistance is that's causing them all "dull glow". Have cleaned the globe sockets, entire rear light assemblies, earth connectors at light assemblies, the multipin connectors in the wiring loom at the taillight end and behind the driver's footwell trim panel (looked clean anyway). Also checked the operation of the brake light.
The contacts in the globe holders read 12 volts but I know that doesn't mean that full current draw is available under load.
Reversing lights and indicators and "fog" tail lights all fine.
Vehicle does have an electric brake unit for towing and tow bar.
Are there any other multipin connectors in the loom? Where does the black earth wire ground.

Also at the risk of too many questions in one thread - does anyone knoe where I can source a rear seal for the steel sunroof?

Does anyone know the layout and location of all the connecting plugs and earth points for the wiring loom to the tail lights/brake lights on an '89 RR Classic ?
I've struggled to find where the resistance is that's causing them all to "dull glow". Have cleaned the globe sockets, entire rear light assemblies, earth connectors at light assemblies, the multipin connectors in the wiring loom at the taillight end and behind the driver's footwell trim panel (looked clean anyway). Also checked the operation of the brake light switch. Tail light lenses are new.
Where does the black earth wire from the tail light assembly go to ground?

I suggest you don't waste a lot of time with finding the existing earth points. Solder a new earth wire to each tail light harness and screw a new earth point to a piece of bodywork nearby. You can't do any damage doubling earth points.

    Threads merged.

Please stick to one thread per problem. Posting the same question in multiple sections gets confusing.
