With the scale only going to 110 c is this enough for monitoring the water temp on a tdi?
I want to use it as an overtemp alarm/ engine saver type of thing

In relation to longer sensor leads, I contacted the seller and a 3m lead and sender is $26 additional. From memory it will run two inputs? So you'll get the original short lead and sensor (for gearbox?) And you can ask for the longer assembly in the order comments, wait to pay and he'll send a revised bill.
hey modman i also would like to know how it would go monitoring water temp on a tdi? and where would be the best place to put the sensor? also i wonder if it would be a viable turbo temperature gauge as well?
The scale definitely doesn't go high enough for an exhaust pyrometer if that's what you want??
I want to lug the bulb and bolt onto or near to a water gallery, if the scale is appropriate.
With a pressurized cooling system and proper coolant I'm not sure if 110 c is enough headroom??

id be abit worryed if i ever seen 110c from my water temp,, if it dose go over 110c it jsut shows hhh.
A viable Turbo gauge would want to go to 1000 decrees,
you can get one here

They are good quality, I've installed a few. The one with the long 90 degree sensor is better I think:
eBay Australia: Buy new & used fashion, electronics & home d
And they do all sorts of sensors including pressure etc.
