    RangeRover 2dr with all the fruit. How heavy?

    My 4cyl series 2 SWB hardtop with bullbar,6point internal rollcage, heavy duty pto winch,portal axles on 36'' tyres tips the weighbridge scales at 2230 Kgs

    For reasons of comfort and better road performance I occasionally contemplate swapping my portal axles over to an old 2 dr RangeRover that I have, but don't want to end up with a 3.5 ton monster that will require 40'' tyres to prevent it from sinking like a stone in soft ground.

    Anyone out there with a fully equipped RRC know how much their vehicle weighs?

    A 2 door RRC has a tare of 1770Kgs AFAIR.
    Add 40Kgs for bullbar ( ARB early type) and estimate the addition weights of whatever else you have.
    The 1770 is without fuel AFAIR.

    Thanks Philip, so we're up to 1810kgs with bullbar. I don't want to reuse my pto winch,(too heavy) and can't reuse my cage, so anyone know the weight of a Warn highmount and internal RRC cage.The weight of my portals and wheels/tyres I can estimate easily enough.

    Can't tell you the exact wieght but a mate of mine has a club RR two door with cage,120ltr tank,safety gear and low mount and it doesn't feel any different to his stock four door to drive. Pat
