    EGR and Silicon Hoses

    Hi all,
I was fortunate enough to have an AULRO member look at my rig the other day and sort a few niggly issues for me (thanks Blknight).
I have now decided to remove the EGR and fit some silicon intercooler hoses to avoid future issues.
Whilst the mods are relatively easy, I have searched the fora including the good oil and not found a 'recommended supplier'. There are plenty of kits available from UK but I have not found a local supplier. I recall an AULRO member used to deal in them? Same for the hoses.
Forgive me if my searches are less than ideal however is there a preferred supplier or kit recommended?
If not, I'll purchase from overseas.

Ultimately all of the kits and hoses originate from the UK, so unless you have a burning desire to cover the costs and profit margins of Australian parts handlers you are better off buying direct from the UK.

    Quality sources include:

Allard Turbo Sport - Allard Turbo Sport

ALIVE - Evolving Icons. Land Rovers, Tailored to you.

Home - SamcoXDB - Xtreme Duty Silicone Hoses

    hope this helps

    Hi all,
Just getting around to purchasing an EGR removal kit and after much research as to method and kit contents, I realised that I don't need to buy a kit, I have the technology!
However I am debating what metal composition to manufacture the components out of.
I am thinking 304 stainless but may not need to go to that length. Perhaps carbon steel or even aluminium?

    Whats the norm?

On face value, it shouldn't be too hard to melt a piece of pipe to a mounting plate, centre drill the holes and dress the face flat?

    Have I missed something?

Mr auto. and ally as the manifold you will be bolting it to is ally. have one of the appys clean out the intercooler, spec the end float on the compressor wheel and clean out the inlet manifold then write it off to service and repair turbocharged diesel engine forced induction systems.
