Did you drive the wheel onto the block? Easier and safer than putting it under or on top of the jack.
Last weekend I decided to replace rotors and pads on wife's Astra. Park the car on sealed driveway and get out jack etc for job. Loosten wheel nuts on first wheel and insert jack under car in correct position. Wind up jack until fully wound up only to find the front wheel still firmly on ground. So much for Holden jack.I had to get a 2 inch block of wood so the stupid jack would lift high enough.. No good if wife got a flat on the road. She is capable of changing it but with a jack like this???? Jim

he wanted to take the wheel off, the jack did not lift the car high enough for the wheel to clear the ground.
I have come across this before cannot remember the make of the car but had to put the jack under a wish bone to get the wheel to lift high enough not under the body as specified in the manaul.
