    Disco 3 stereo options?

we have a 2007 landrover discovery 3, the radio stopped working and the local landrover dealer advises us we need a complete new unit. The price of the unit is $800 and $200 fitting charge. Just asking if anyone else has had this problem and is there any other options like putting in a after market unit?

    Regards John.

Because some of the command centre controls are controlled by the original radio (time and computer settings are controlled through the steering wheel) an original radio will still have to be connected - this can be stored in a convenient location in the car but will still have to be connected if you want to change settings in the dash computer.
