    CDL spigot clicks both ways?

    Hi all....
Been out of the picture for a while....
Anyways, my disco 2 is the one where you get the CDL spigot on the transfer case, but dont get the controls, so I fabricated one up.
Works fine....click it to the left for on, and click back to the right for off.
But iv'e also found you can give it an extra click to the right....anyone know what this is for or is it just nothing?

    Cheers

Extra click is nothing, adjust the linkage so that doesn't happen.
Should be that the little tag OFF the spigot faces directly toward the front of the vehicle (assuming you have used an original tag) for difflock disengaged, and offset to the gearbox side for engaged.

Right, here we go....(sorry, i dont have measurements)
bend up a bit of flat steel for spigot coupling

get a bunch of old sockets, extensions and unijoints
    weld these together

drill hole through socket for bolt for spigot coupling (not easy...went through several drillbits and a lot of swearing in between)

drill oval hole in center of steel plate to suit spigot (again, not easy, used a chainsaw file...took ages to get just right...

best to take the centre console out and associated doo-dads...you can see the spigot if youre sitting in the passenger seat

youll have to drill a hole into the centre console and the steel bottom backing plate (not a good idea if you plan to resell!) make sure the hole misses the high/low gearknob assy.

got this idea from another aulro member but cant remember when or where...

im not very good at instructions so the pics may help....

Bit rough n ready but works fine!!
