These td5's will run on a mix albeit quite badly, difficult to start and low on power but unless it gets caned and driven hard they seem to survive OK.
Have had quite a few towed and driven in like that:o

OK curious,
Why did the boss put the petrol in?
Fairly sure you would have said something after the last effort:mad:
Not the same as Petrol, but I've ben running a 50/50 Jet A1 (Kero) mix for years.
To date have not had any problems, just blows a bit of smoke on acceleration, but would do that on Diesel anyway.

probably because it is cheap, (read free) if you know where to get some 'out of date' or 'moisture compromised' jet A1.... IIRC Aviation industry has strict guidelines on shelf life and storage time etc for fuels, Avgas and JetA1 etc absorb moisture readily and after a time unused even in a 'sealed' drum it is deemed not fit for aviation use. Fine in a road going vehicle though. Greg should be able to confirm or deny this, I got this info second hand some years back from an industry employee...

I put a small "DIESEL" sticker on all my diesel vehicles, right next to, or on, the fuel filler cap of flap. SWAMBO also has her blonde moments.....
