By accident I have discovered a useful modification to Landrover's patented external lubrication system. I had assumed that the increasing number of oil spots on the garage floor was the embodiment of the finest in British engineering, but no.

I have just blanked the EGR and while there replaced the turbo hoses with some sexy silicon ones. (silicon looks so much better on turbo hoses than augmentation mammoplasty) and voila, no more oil spots. The hoses were starting to delaminate and were weeping out the oil from the engine breather. I had thought that the oil on them was from general engine leakage but all good now.
