Thread: 3.5 flapper and hotwire alternators

Anyone know if a 3.5 efi rangie alternator 89 model has the same alternator as a disco 1 3.5 hotwire .
Got a charge light on on my rangie today and I have a disco parked up on a property for spares .

With a little bit of ingenieuity just about any alternator ever made could be fitted to the front of a LR 3.5. I would get the spare alternator off and try it. Should fit the same. Can't guarantee the terminals will be exactly the same.
