200tdi tap intake manifold or?
I have just received a set of senders for my 200tdi, one of which is a turbo pressure sender 0-5 bar. I was expecting a 1/8 thread but the one I have received has an M18 thread!
Does it sound reasonable to tap a M18 thread into the back of the intake manifold and screw the sender in directly or would that be asking for trouble? Perhaps I should be looking at some adapters and Tpeice to pick up a feed off one of the turbo out pipes?

1/8th to M18 is almost twice the diameter.... I am not an expert (however I am an engineer), but that is a fair enlargement.... without strengthening the manifold I would be concerned.
You may have to go through two or three adapters to get from 1/8 to M18, but I think it would be worth the hassle.
BTW I assume you mean 1/8" BSPP....

yeah M18 is chunk, much much bigger than 1/8 - 27 NPT
On further inspection it would appear from the stockcode on my invoice and the one on this here box, that they have sent me the wrong one!
So I await a replacement and again hope to tap a 1/8 thread into the back of my 200tdi intake manifold so I can screw the sender right on in there. Anyone else screwed a pressure sender directly to the manifold in this way?
