Ditto that, I'm 99% sure TJM didn't make an alloy wich bar - a 9000lb winch will pull a bit more than that on the first layer of the drum, lets say 10,000lb = 4.5t. If your to do a double line pull = 9tonne! Will you hook the end of a double line pull to the bar or the winch plate? I'd be engineering the winch plate. Maybe you also want somewhere decent to snatch from the front too.

LR use 13mm shaft grade 8 bolts to the four mounting holes for their winching systems.

Dual battery controllers are generally in two catagories. Those that can handle a winch and those that cannot. I'd be looking for one rated to 140A or more.

You'd want at least 2 guage cable (in conduit obviously). I like to run the earth wire between the batteries, rather than through the chassis. The earth wires on landrovers seem to have enough problems without puching an extra 100amp through them.

You also want to put the battery controller as close as possible to the main battery.

Thank folks and Hi mrwoody, the link will give you the best idea of what my USI-160 can do, based on feedback and suggestions from other AULRO members.

Ok. Here we go, bar off

Had to cut alloy bar where it kinked down at bottom and flatten it out.

Cut off and clean up ends,

Made end plates and welded them in so steel cradle is bolted direct to chassis,

It's realy something where I'd need the winch, bar and cradle in front of me as the bar has welds where cradle should sit flush etc. if u have a grinder, welder and good quality tools i can take measurements. But measurements would be helpful only. They wouldn't be exact for your bar. If u need any hints or tips let me know
