Clutch slipping
Hi,
Just noticed the clutch starting to slip when accelerating up hill in 4th and 5th in a 2004 td5. Done 145000km.
My questions are.
Should I fix it now, or can I leave it till it gets worse.
In others experience how quickly do they deteriorate to the point of having to be fixed.
And lastly, I don't have the tools or time to do the job myself. How much is to likely to cost. I usually go to independent in Sydney area.

If you leave it to get worse you will likely need to change the flywheel aswell.
If you catch it early enough you may get away with just changing the clutch.
As for labour costs, not sure. Ring around a few places.
Cheers
Pete
