    Symptoms of a slipping clutch

    Hi everyone,
1600 ks ago i fitted a brand new valeo 200tdi clutch plate, spring and release bearing. It was a standard 130 clutch.
Today i was going up some reasonable hills for city traffic, and in 3rd when i accelerated the engine revs would increase but the speed would stay the same. it didnt quite feel the same pulling away from the lights either, lagged a bit then took off.
I thought the clutch might be slipping so did the 4th gear test, put it in 4th with the foot brakes on and release the clutch slowly and see if it stalled, it stalled fine and towed my mates land cruiser in 2nd without a trouble.
Are there any other tests to do? Or just keep driving it til it fails or gets better?
    Cheers,
    Joe
