    tdi 300 usinig coolant help

please help ive replace my head gasket on my 300 4mhts ago and now, my 300 will blow white smoke for about 30 sec only some days at start up or while driving..
i did find a welsh plug leaking two weeks ago and had all replaced but still using coolant.. i dont know if it will hold up for a trip to the cape towing a trailer..

check to see if the heater core is leaking, that would be my first guess.

    Cheers

Have a look around the "P" gasket for any coolant leaking.

I agree white smoke is usually coolant getting through the combustion system

the cracks through to the glow plug orifi are very common and dont necessarily indicate a leak into the water jacket.

When you replaced the gasket previously was te head clean and flat and correct torque procedure used with a new elring composite gasket?

If so you could almost be confident that the head is dead...

If you cut any corners on above then perhaps clean, light skim and check for flatness. Then re gasket the head properly and see how goes???
