    swivel preload adjustment gone wrong

    Hi all i just adjusted my swivel preload on my 02 defender, by removing the top swivel pin bolts and removing a shim which did tighten up the swivel.. Tho now that ive put it all back together the seal leaks the ABS is playing up and it has vertical movment. What have i done wrong here. could someone please help me on this as it is driving me nuts.

    You have left something loose or left something out. A bit hard to tell without seeing it first hand.

    Have come to conclusion that the joints are just to flogged out so im just gunna rebuild them both and be done with. does anyone know if there is a online manual for a td5 2002 defender with ABS with the instructions/specs in it to do this job?

    its called the Rave manual.

    you get one from daves interseting things which you get to by pushing the shop button in the forum bar.

    Does anyone know wich section in the RAVE manual has the instructions for doing this on a TD5 ABS model defender cant see it in there? only has instructions for the 300tdi?
