With the ARB bar you can use the factory lights and washers. I like the Sahara bar.

Geez and i thought mine was not so great for the approach angle, mind you the support brackets cut through stuff and i haven't had a problem, i think it has payed for itself (it was free, gotta love being an ex-dealer's son), but saved the car from a muddy grave. I welded a light bar onto the front of mine though to hold the big IPF's (another freebie). But as the Disco will be set up for touring it is fine. I would not buy a bullbar new for a car that is around 10 years old, unless i was doing the whiole thing up, rign a wrecker and see what you can get.

Land Rover Discovery II Classic Bar 004-01 | eBay
In looking through their site I found that the front bars for all vehicle types listed show the same picture. Might want to be a bit careful there.
Agree'd ... but not my sort of bar, so no risk to me :p
Thanks for the input guys.
Decided due to availability and costs ill go the TJM bar for now.
Even if it gets completely buggered if i hit a roo, rather it than the front of my disco.
A close family friend who's probably pulled more landrovers apart than you can shake a stick at said they're fine, so ill see how it goes.
If necessary i can replace it with an ARB bar in the future, but for now ill see how it runs
Ill also put up a pic tutorial on mounting it, just incase anyone wants to know how it turns out.
Pics coming soon!
Thanks guys, you've been a great help

And ARB is its name
Hey All,
Have been looking for a bull bar to replace the joke of a 'nudge' bar that currently adorns the front of my disco 2, was doing a cursory search through fleabay and came upon this listing
land rover discovery 11 classic bull bar 004-02 steel powered coated black | eBay
It seems to be from a Victorian based company called MCC 4x4 accessories, found here www.mcc4x4.com
Has anyone ever heard of this company? The bar looks like a copy of the ARB style. Is it worth the risk to save a bit of cash?
Thanks in advance,
CaptJimmy
