    Braided brake hoses

I am in the process of fitting reco front and rear diffs with new brakes to my 110 County and am considering braided brake hoses in lieu of the standard ones, What is the general opinion, is it a worthwhile mod or not and if so where would be the best place to buy them from.
    Cheers......Brian

in my opinion i recon it was worth it...however i got new ones custom made teflon with stainless braid covered with clear plastic sheath with blue ADR stampings...i also got them 10" longer so plenty to play with...
they needed replacing so i thought why not?? plus they give a slightly hard more direct pedal feel...

I got the exact same brake lines made at Perth Brake Parts to ensure ADR compliance. I got them 2 inches longer than standard, and this is long enough for use with my +5" shocks......though I don't thnk the front has the ability to use it all due to binding :-)

The improvement was phenomenal, but I was going from old worn rubber lines to new Teflon braided stainless lines

    Cheers

I bought +2" Goodridge ones from Paddocks in the UK: Defender | Goodridge Hoses | Performance

Seem to work well, but I also did a rear disc conversion and D1 booster and M/C at the same time which might have helped

A local brake place at Toronto (lake Macquarie nsw) cannot remember the name ATM I was very happy with the look of them as they are much more slender and eye appealing than standard style...I was going to go 2" longer as I agree front end will be lucky to use 2" longer lines and rear end also may require less as its at the pivot point of the diff but I just went silly.. Maybe trying to compensate

Brian, I got what Steve got, cost about $100 the set if I recall correctly, I put them in the wife's disco, best thing I ever did, braking is so much better its ridiculous.

Pirtek Blacktown (Sydney) make them and have ADR approval. Also have an extensive list of makes/models so you can just order over the phone. Usually works out about $50 to $60- per hose.
