I seem to remember a LR bulletin about fitting a spacer to the lift pump to stop an overstroking issue. I can't find it on TOPIx though.

Found it. It was issued later than I thought.

Fit revised gasket ERR7339 to prevent the pump overstroking.

Thanks, Scott. Just called Brad and he'd done that - just about to take it for a test drive.

The first pump lasted less than an hour, the second long enough for the owner to get to near Penrith from Mt Tomah.
