    Emergency access code?

My 2009 Defender 110 won't start (details on thread "Wrong jumpstart procedure. Now what?") Several members have suggested that the immobiliser may be the problem. The manual tells how to deactivate engine immobilisation by entering the emergency key access code and states "The code for your vehicle is recorded on the Security card."

The only car I received from the previous owner is the attached (I've blanked out the numbers for this pic.) Is the number on this card my "emergency key access code"?

    Cheers.

    Puma access codes

    I have a June 2009 Puma I purchased new.
It didn't come with all the codes, only a key code on a tag in the battery compartment.
After a little messing around the dealer obtained the EKA, wireless and key codes for me from the UK.
You should go back to Land Rover and ask for their assistance in getting the codes for you. Your car's VIN numb should allow him to get the information for you.
The EKA code is the one you are currently seeking but you should get the others as well for future use.

The number on the card in your pic is the PIN code for your radio which you need to enter after a battery disconnect I think

if you have a nanocom or access to one the eka code can be found .its a 4 # code and if anything like mine it can be changed to a simple one to make entering easy.

there should be 3 books with your landy

    1. the servicing schedule (this is the one that has the servicing stamps in it) and it should have a break down card and servicing agents card in it
    2. the entertainment system manual (this one should have had the card youve pictured in it
    3. the owners manual (this should have a pull out or seperate flyer that has the EKA and sercurity system settings in it)

look up EKA in the users manual.

Typically when I've had vehicles with EKA/security numbers I circle the numbers in sequence on the pages of the manual to make it harder to loose.
(for code 12345 I might circle the page number on page 1, 23, the 4 on page 34 and the 5 on page 45) the previous owner may have done something similar or just written the number down on the page that gives the EKA instruction.

    non start

hi the card you pictured is just for the radio security code.
if you could ring a dealer with the chassie number they will have the code on there record posible, another quick try is to disconnect the battery for a minute then reconnect and press the remote 4 or 5 times to resync, may not work but worth a try
    cheers mike

Go to your dealer, you will have to be firm as they don't seem to want to give them out, in fact some will deny that the exist. They should be in the book. I rang my dealers maintenance mob several times and they seemed to ignore me. Then I rang the salesman and said if Landrover assist wanted to send someone out 1000 ks into the desert because of you wont give me the EKA code then that will be your problem.
He got onto Landrover in Sydney and he emailed it to me the next day.
    Best of luck.

Is there a way to change these numbers without a Nancom?
