hi there
i would keep an eye out on ebay as 2nd hand lockers come up quite often. i picked front and rear arb lockers for 1200 bucks and that was with compressor and switches and both installed in centres so all i had to do was bolt em in
You can land an Ashcroft locker on your doorstep for $860. Better design than the ARB - they won't end up leaking air like the ARB ones will. If your after budget, then there are some Chinese copies of early ARB lockers that are cheap, and there are plenty out there that say they are ok.
If you need to contact me please email homestarrunnerau@gmail.com - thanks - Gav.

Have a look in the markets section.V8Landy has one for sale $800.
My ARB ('s) only leaked air because the diff breather was blocked, actually didn't leak air but diff oil was forced back up air line to solenoid.
Manual locking diffs IMO are better than LSD, the fact that a LSD works only after you have lost traction on one or more wheels and Detroit lockers unlock on turning, I can see no advantages of a Detroit locker or LSD over a manual locking diff, Regards Frank.
