It isn't a difficult task to clean and adjust, but replacing the actuator etc after the system crashes is, and is expensive too

Just had to perform my first manual epb release this weekend. Easy process (with a little help from aulro )
My question is, what's next? Is it just a clean up & adjust? Or am I up for a new actuator? (if so, how much?)
Car will be going to Ritters for a pre Fraser Island service in a couple of weeks anyway, black tape over the flashing light 'til then?

Rohan, have a look at Disco_mikey's how to on Disco3:

Might save you a few dollars.

Quick epb update, dropped the car off to my local car washer this morning (very, very lazy I know), picked it up after a quick inside and out wash, not only did they get rid of half an inch of high country dust from the inside, but hey presto, the park brake now functions perfectly! No idea how! Don't really care! Just very happy I don't have to break any bad news to S.W.M.B.O.
