In addition to my previous post, I would strongly suggest an autobox to make use of all that torque. An Allison with programmable lock up and adequate cooler will easily reliably handle the torque, and behave 90% like a manual.
(If fuel consumption and $$$ weren't an issue, I would have a crate Ally injected Ford V8 and 6HP trans fitted to a 90. Then 1.6:1 high range and fit the G force active suspension off my Rangie....:o)
Back on topic.... Matching the Allison to the transfer case would be an issue, not sure how one would go BUT I can definitely recommend getting the transmission right. Diffs, well unless you are running 42" TSL's then ARB or Ashcroft centres will suffice, but choose some good axles.
This is a big undertaking, would be great to have the resources to try it all out:(.
