    Diesel Injector Testing

I've got some (non-Land Rover) diesel injectors that need testing. Unfortunately, only place in town that could do it has lost their test equipment, so it'll be a postal job.

Would prefer a place closish to home, somewhere in North Qld. Can anyone recommend anyone?

What's the difference? I accidentally pulled one apart when trying to pull them out, so needs to be reset I guess. Fairly new to diesel technology.

    out of which engine?

    and what style injector?

if its a shimmed spring unit, put it back together and put it back in, (nice clean room please) The shims set the pressure and so long as you dont loose any of them or put the wrong ones in the wrong spots (hard to do, they will have different diameters) it'll set up correctly.

From a Nissan TD27T, ~20yrs old. I think its a spring and shim style, but couldn't really tell you. Same injector as in the Nissan 4.2L diesel too. Engine is currently out of ute, so its not a rush job. Sort of a project to play learn a bit more about diesel engines. Working so far
I'd probably be happier getting someone to test it anyway given its age.
