Front crank shaft seal all good now

Well I finally have done the front crank shaft seal on my 4BB1. The retaining nut was done up rather tightly and proved to be a bit of a job to undo. ( Major understatement ) Fortuitously there has been a thread showing a method using a impact tool. I made one of these, locked the fly wheel up, put some heat into the nut and using my sledge hammer ever so gently undid the nut . On my bell housing towards the bottom of the passenger side there was at some stage a tacho. There is now a rubber plug which when removed allowed access to the ring gear. So was fairly easy to lock the the ring gear. To tighten the nut I made a pipe that slid over my T bar and at the other end I welded a 1/2 inch drive socket. The length being close to a meter from the center of the T bar and the socket welded on the other end. Using my old deflection bar torque wrench I applied 100 pounds, which is close enough to 44m kg. The pulley was worn some but the old seal and the new seal lips are slightly different in positions so should be ok. A big thanks goes to PS1250 for the loan of the socket.
