Fitted a VNT turbo and upgraded intercooler from Alisport , turbo is from tutbo technics , Bolts straight on ,works really well ,more power ,no lag,same fuel economy, $2,100.00 all up to WA , very happy.

Hi! We too just bought an allisport kit. A vnt turbo from turbo technics, upgraded Intercooler, mandrel bent exhaust and silicone hoses. We have also fitted an EGT gauge. Just wondering if you have done any pump adjustments? Do you have a boost gauge and if so what is it boosting to. Andrew from allisport said the turbo is pre set to 20psi and should not be touched! The hose from the turbo to the Intercooler gets really hot after only 5 minutes driving is that normal?we were going to try to turn the boost back as it is boosting straight up to 20 just touching it. We will be towing a camper van and were worried this is too much. Any info much appreciated!:)
I too have the Alisport intercooler and upgraded turbo. I had my full pump adjusted up, but my turbo is outputting 15psi. I wouldnt want any more than that. I don't have an egt though.
20 psi should be fine if you have the rest of it set up right what sort of egt temp do you get and at what boost pressure say pulling up a long hill in 4th at 100K or even better 5th at 100k up a long hill with your foot into it will it gain speed and how much smoke out the back do you get ?
If you have spent the coin on the good turbo/cooler set up it would be silly not to have the pump at least timed right and give the truck a run on a dyno to get the full effect it would be like buying a champion greyhound and feeding it black and gold dog food :D
I to have just installed or in the middle of, great to here they go well, with all the Camel fruit it needs a bit of help... now finding a boost gauge in Zambia will be interesting...;)

Does anyone know how to advance the pump timing and to what degree do you set it at for maximum performance for a 300tdi? Normal driving the EGT sits about 430 but have not yet hooked up the camper to see what it reads on a long pull.
