    Braking problem

    Brake issues when towing
    2009 D3 2.7TDV6.
I have noticed that when towing my(empty) box trailer with cruise control enabled the rear brakes will start to pulse giving the feeling of driving over edge ripples or fine corrugations.
This has happened at both 80kmh and at 100 on two separate occasions.
The rear brake pads get very hot and smell pretty bad, at least i think its the rear..
If the vehicle is stopped and then driven away the issue seems to disappear.
Does anybody have an explanation for this?
    Thanks in advance.

Just browsing the forums and noticed that led trailer lights have some or several issues, my trailer has leds. I dont seem to be able to relocate the thread could someone maybe point it out? cheers

    Dave.

I was asked " Is it ignorance or apathy?" I replied "I don't know and I don't care."

Thanks MrWhippy but I checked the indicators and all works fine!
Still baffled, isnt there supposed to be a 'Trailer Attached' warning light?
I will try using the trailer again this weekend...
