I have an elect issue with a D2 V8 petrol
Twice in the last 2 weeks have pulled up (once and night and then today in day light) and stopped and the stop lights have stayed on???? Today they stayed on for say 20 min until security got me (they were off when I got to the car) then when I unlocked and locked the car they came back on
Also today when I stopped and turned the key off the car did not stop immediately - ran for 10 seconds?
And between Thursday driving and Sat the battery ran flat - brand new battery - suspect that is related to these issues.
Any one had these sorts of elect issues on a D2 or have suggestions where to look?
Have neg terminal disconnected when parked at moment to save battery.

Could be water in trailer plug/socket causing short circuit to brake lamps? Not standard 12 pin plug with constant live? maybe!![]()
Thanks guys - no dash lights on - it is the actual rear lights
I do have a trailer brake unit so wondered if some how shorting through the trailer plug? No trailer on at time though.
Do relays ever burn out and if so could they bridge? I had a reverse spot wired via the reverse lights with a relay and also a switch to manually turn them on when camping/setting up. I wonder if this is the culprit and earthing back up the brake lights???
Will pull the relay out form back and check.
