Ive got hella 2000 three of converted to HID, two spread outside and a spot in the middle all mounted on the bull bar, Are genuine HID better than converted HID?
I have a pair of LED lights. They are bloody brilliant!
Mine have 16 led's in 2 rows for distance, another 16 across the bottom as spread beams. Each light throws about 7,200 lumens so with both on, about 14,400 lumens.
Yes it's true that they don't penetrate like HID's do but I can tell you that out to about 800 metres I have daylight and at the speed limits in this country, that is more than adequate.
Thy key with LED's is DON'T buy cheap. I have compared mine with others and the difference is more than apparent when the cheapies are compared to mine.

Hi ade,
have a look here http://www.lightforce.net.au/images/...0161%20LR2.pdf it should give you a little bit of insight as to what is what.
It is by no means the be all and end all of reviews, but gives a good basic review of some lights and comaprisons.
Best of luck
