Hi spudboy, quicksand at the notorious sandy cape, on the west coast of tassie. Can't pick the stuff here from normal sand, especially at night time! Nearly lost the old girl.....would have been devastated. Found the whine, rear uni joint on front prop shaft....can't believe I didn't spot it earlier, completely flogged out.

98% of all Land Rovers built are still on the road.
The other 2% made it home.

Cost difference between Britpart and Genuine seals: £2.04. Knowing that your brakes won't fail at any moment: Priceless.

Have a look at the bottom of the Castol lube chart at point 416, but also after reading the many recomendations on this forum I changed to Syntrans.

416 - With R380 manual transmission. For severe applications or towing use CASTROL SYNTRANS 75W-85

    Castrol Australia - NetLube
