The Road trip app is my choice too. Features like gps logging of fill up location are a nice touch, and I use the service reminders as a way of tracking when and what work is done on the D2. I switched from using fuelly as it demanded a stats reset on partial fills. Perhaps fuelly has improved since I gave up on it.

I find the fuel consumption stats are a useful indication of low level problems. It doesn't ID the issue but rising consumption on normal driving cycles provides a good indicator that something needs attention.

    cheers

    Hi
    Defender 130 Tdi300 1996 213k loaded up most of the,time. i use as cubby.
Varies a bit as low as 8l/100 high as 12.1
Depends on speed, terrain, load, headwinds and driving style. Averages around 10.5.
