Hello All-my first post. I have a 1953 80" ute, road-registered LR 1953.
having some dramas with the distributor, Lucas DVXH4A. Can't see how to remove the vac.advance unit to have a new diaphragm fitted. I think the knurled adjuster nut needs to come off and the rest of the unit then slides out in the direction of the diaphragm. See picture. Any ideas? It's different from the DM2 dizzy fitted from 1954 on.
The rest of the dizzy is easy to dismantle and service. If anyone has experience with these DVXH4A types I'd appreciate their advice. Many thanks, Rob S
