    Stud pattern

    Hi all
    My first question for AULRO.
Could someone please tell me if 17 inch d3 wheels will fit a stock d2 with 16 inch wheel

    Thanks

Stud patterns are identical but the D3 rims will need a hub centering ring for the smaller D2 mounting ring.

They do as I understand it but have not done. They are both 5x120, but the centralising spigot is smaller on the D2, so you will need to usea ringcentric to make sure wheel is located properly. You will also need to use D3/4 wheel nuts which are the same thread as the D2. There is a slight difference in the wheel offset between the 2, and I'm not sure what that is or which way it goes.
    Cheers

Out of curiosity, what type of nuts are the D3? Tubular or tapered seat?

D2 offset is 57 mm positive whereas the D3 is 53 mm positive so not much difference and out more rather than in. D2 centering flange is 70 mm, D3 is 72.6 mm. D3 uses the same style of flat base nuts but different dia base.
