Thats a great idea - just where I was heading except with a disco 1. I like the idea of 2 of the ems2 units with all functions. Used to be a pilot and like gauges :-)
Has anyone installed an EMS2 (the round one) into the roof console on a discovery 2? I'm looking at installing one in the blanking panel (for the sunroof switches I think). I'd be interested in seeing a few pictures if anyone has.
Cheers
Marc

I guess i'll be the first to try it, I'll take lots of pictures and post up the failure or success.
Excellent. Cheers

Here's one from my archives - not mine, but I considered this option before going to Nanocom
Oops - no picture - 2nd try
Oops 2 - it has been converted to a word doc and is too big to post here. I never did work out how to reduce bytes in this scenario
EDIT - saved as pdf

I'm interested why "I considered this option before going to Nanocom"
I would have thought of these as two different things, one is a real time monitoring tool using its own extra sensors, the other is a diagnostic tool (but admittedly with the ability to monitor the standard limited sensors).
I myself am going to get both. Plus the Nanocom would get stolen like a GPS if it was not permanently installed.
Cheers

Always wanted/liked the MadMan, but main reason for not proceeding was because South Africa would not return my emails to clarify what I needed in the way of additional sensors etc and I could not get anyone local to help - since learnt that there is a Vic agent.
Nanocom was always a given (mine is located down low out of sight in a slideout bracket), then I got an on top of dash Mudpod and put gauges for EGT, engine oil pressure, ATF temp in that (with 2 x volt gauges still to come for batteries) and 2 x 12 sockets, plus a low coolant alarm located elsewhere. I also have an electric brakes setup and my venerable TomTom 760 - useless in the bush. Bit cluttered for some, but works for me. There is a link/photo elsewhere if you are interested.

Mine was installed like that, fits perfectly and easy to read.
