My project D3 had a front impact, which set both front airbags off. This clearly means that I have a hole in the dash where the passenger airbag exits.

I was prepared to replace the upper dash, as it has to come out anyway to replace the airbag, but then I found a few places that claim to be able to repair dashboards to look like new. This set me thinking....

The dash is not that heavy, just big and bulky, so postage is the killer. A good second hand one from the UK is 100-150 pounds. But if it is possible to repair rather than replace, then a chunk of money can be saved.

So, does anyone have an experience of these dashboard repair wizards? Good, bad, waste of money?
