A picture won't help if 1. you don't know how a starter motor works and 2. if someone has modified your wiring.
You need: Big cable to the battery, test with a multi meter or test light that you have battery voltage here.
One or more brown wires feed power to the rest of the electrics and should be on the same bolt terminal as the battery cable.
Above the battery cable bolt is the terminal that has a wire from the ignition key lock. This should get battery voltage when you turn the key to "crank". You can connect a temporary wire to the terminal and touch it to the battery positive and see if this operates the starter.
Also see that the battery earth cable is secure and there is a cable to complete the earth circuit right to the engine block. Add a new cable from the battery negative to the engine block, if necessary.
A quick battery check: Put the head lights on high beam, turn the key to start. Do the lights stay full bright? If yes, you need to fix the wiring or the key switch. Test with a multi meter. If the lights go very dull, get another battery or charge the one you've got.
